Gay Parade

I'm in the NYU library right now-it is soo amazing here. Very sleek and...huge. I stepped in and was amazed. Caught my breath. Me + books=love affair. Which reminds me of what Steven said once. If studying was a person I'd being having an affair with it. Very true. In return I said that if sleeping was a person, he'd be all up on that thang like he already is.

Yesterday was...Gina and I woke up late once again and were planning to go to The Redeemer at 5pm for their jazz worship. Turns out there's a gay parade with half naked guys in speedos dancing on floats. I saw one lady with a sheer white cloth and her aureoles showing-they were HUGE. Anywho, the roads were blocked off and it was raining like crazy [which means wet sheer white cloth=visible aureoles and nipples. Don't judge-it would've caught your eye and you would've stared too]. Gina, Nina, Liz, and I were not happy. We walked a few blocks then had to turn around and miss Tim Keller.

After settling in our rooms, we decided to head over to Dunkin Donuts and use our NYU card cash. Dude-let me tell you [though you don't want to know] the whole day, literally, the whole day I was in the bathroom 'meditating on my porcelain throne'-if you know what I mean. My stomach is being a brat and I wasn't able to eat much. Still my stomach hurts and wasn't able to eat my bfast-and you know how devastating that is. I don't know the total estimate of how long I was in the bathroom but let me just say that I'm glad I had a magazine with me.

So what am I doing here in the library? That's not even a question to ponder about since it's me, but Gina has to do something with her research paper-print it out I believe. We're going to get Starbucks later in order to use our card cash, head over to discussion, kill a few hours [probably by catching up on readings], and then head over to our tour at New York Times and interview the editor. Which reminds me, I still need to do my research for that.

Oh, after Dunkin Donuts the girls and I played Monopoly. I RULED. I DOMINATED. What else is new, eh? 'Twas fun. They ended the game early because I was monopolizing keke. We then studied and read. It was a looonng night.

These poor losers don't know that I'm about to beat 'em.

Not the best quality. Forgive the rain.

New New News!

So Gina and I were walking around and found this clothing store. I asked the owner what the deal is. He sells designer clothes and gives the proceeds to the current charity that he is collaborating with. I told him about Samburu Project and swapped emails. I really hope things work out. It would be nice to finally have some money in my club.

After this encounter, I got a rush of inspiration and determination. It was exactly what I needed, especially when finals of Spring Quarter totally drained out my livelihood. I have new ideas in my head and I'm starting to get interested in teaming up with people to generate more money in order to do more thins. I want to make shirts that people all around the street corners will buy as a form of protest, sell Samburu water, have a photo gallery and auction it off. Is this too ambitious of me? Probably since I have nothing in the bank.

Anyway, Gina and I are supposed to go to SoHo today but she be napping after we woke up at 11ish today o.O Our sleeping schedules are whack. I'm whack for staying in my room and doing readings. But it's a must, especially when on Monday we're meeting up with the New York Times editor. I have to be prepared with ammunition of questions.

Pictures of my sexy self will be updated soon. If any of you have any ideas for me about my organization, do tell. Do share.

Randomdom

I tried uploading pictures last night along with a semi-long post, but it didn't work out. So you guys will be clueless as to what I did last night. Maybe I went all crazy and drank and stripped down Time Square.

So this week I've been running on low sleep, therefore I woke up at 2.30pm today. Gina and I were supposed to wake up at 10am to go to Governor's Island and get free bike rides, but that didn't happen. Instead, we went to Best Buy since her laptop crashed...then walked around and stopped by shopping stores...Ooo! Gina and I got a manicure and pedicure-my first time ever. Felt nice but I ended up not liking the color I chose. Looks too perky and Barbie-ish to me. We then walked back towards our dorms and saw Liz and Nina, decided to go eat together...after our very late dinner, we went around trying to find Red Mango.

Them Stores

This picture was taken the day I arrived; our first tour. This is on Hudson and chuckled a bit when I saw this store.

Today we went to the Grand Central Station. Beautiful there; unlike the usual subways you see. We walked a lot, went to Rockefeller, New York Public Library...etc.

I'm thinking about attending Grad School here-if I even get in. Now back to my readings.

Photo of the Day

I've been from here to there that I even get confused where I'm at and which places I have visited. I think this picture is of Manhattan bridge?
Tired as hell but I love New York. Need to get back to readings but hopefully when I have time I'll be more descriptive about my trips.
